KALAHEO — ProBuilt Hawaii is one family-owned business that has you covered during hurricane season.
ProBuilt Hawaii specializes in roofs, rain gutters and solar attic vents, led by a family name that has been serving the roofing industry for two generations.
Jason Berry, founder and president, began working with his father at the age of 11. His father started roofing in 1973 and established his family-operated business in Southern California in 1978.
“We wanted to escape the craziness of the Mainland,” Berry said. “The community really drew us here, just the way we saw everybody connected. We had friends here and thought this was a really good place for our family.”
Berry went on to start his own business and has carried on the family tradition for more than 20 years. Together Jason and his wife, Lisa, run daily operations to serve all of Kauai.
“Through repairs over the years to our own home in Kalaheo, Lisa and I recognized the need to help protect the home investment of our neighbors, family, and friends,” Jason said. “Our goal is repairing, replacing or prolonging the life of their roofing systems and protecting their homes and business.”
“Together we just make a really awesome team,” said Lisa. “He has very specific things in the business he works on with the roofing, inspections, quality and service, and I’m the marketing department. So it just works out really well that we both can bring that to the table.”
Their eight employees installs affordable, architectural-style, asphalt roofs with CertainTeed roofing shingles. Many clients also request metal and aluminum materials that are lightweight, durable and available in corrugated and standing-seam roofs.
“We built and trained our team,” said Jason. “Now we strive to excel in our industry by providing trust, service and quality.”
